Jack Herer pass’d away

Jack Herer, Marijuana Advocate and Author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes, Died in Oregon Thursday

Jack Herer, the a marijuana advocate known as the Hemperor, died Thursday in Oregon.He was 70.

Wife Jeannie Herer wrote the following statement on her website:

“I’m sorry to say that Jack passed away this morning. Thank you all so much for the love and support you’ve given us.

When we have funeral arrangements, I will let you know. Thank you.

Jack Herer suffered a heart attack last September shortly after an appearance at the Portland HempStalk festival. Herer struggled with his health since.

Paul Stanford, Executive Director of The Hemp and Cannabis Foundation, had this to say about the death of Jack Herer:

“No other single person has done more to educate people all across the world about industrial hemp and marijuana as Jack Herer. His book is translated into a dozen different languages, it’s a bestseller in Germany,” added Stanford
